Beatrix Potter and Acorns

I picked some acorns this morning. Acorns are connected to my memory of one of the Beatrix Potter's story "TALE OF MRS TITTLE MOUSE". As a child, I loved the idea mice drinking water from acorn cups. I thought it was so cute. There were no ork trees around my house. That made me have more fantasy about acorns.

お散歩でどんぐりを拾いました。どんぐりの帽子も拾いました。英語で書くと、帽子ではなくカップなのですね。ピーターラビットのシリーズの中でコップに使われていたのは自然なことなのかも知れません。子供の頃の私はこのアイデアが大好きでした。その頃、クヌギの木は家の周りに無く、とてもどんぐりに憧れていました。今、住んでいる所はクヌギの木がいっぱいで、花粉に悩まされつつも、やはりどんぐりのシーズンになるとウキウキします。

I found a couple of petals from one of my Beatrix Potter's books. They must be about 40 years old!

大昔の絵本から、大昔の押し花が出てきました。何の花びらだろう？いずれにせよ４０年くらい前の花びらです。
